Community Chest
The Green Quarter Community Chest supports community organisations, social enterprises and charities that deliver activities benefiting the Southall and Hayes community. Through local grants, this initiative funds projects that make a real difference in the areas of skills, training and employment, culture and heritage, health and wellbeing, and sustainability and the environment.
How does it work?
Each year we can fund organisations or projects with a total funding amount available of £25,000.
We have now launched our second round of funding for the 2025/2026 Community Chest grant programme, to support local community organisations, social enterprises and charities delivering a positive impact in Southall.
Applications are open until the 29th June, with a total of £10,000 available to projects that align with our priority areas:
Skills, training and employment
Culture and heritage
Health and wellbeing
Sustainability
Environment
Funding is available to support both specific projects and day-to-day operational costs. Applicants may request either full or partial funding, with those able to demonstrate existing or confirmed match funding considered favourably. All grants awarded must deliver a direct benefit to communities in Southall. Applicants are asked to outline in their submission the amount of funding requested, details of their organisation, the services they provide to the community, and how the grant will be used.

NEW: The Green Quarter Residents’ Grants
For the first time, we are also offering small grants exclusively to residents of The Green Quarter. These grants are designed to support projects and activities that bring something new to the neighbourhood and strengthen the community.
Residents are encouraged to apply for funding to start initiatives such as:
A parent and toddler group
A book club
Fitness or wellbeing classes (e.g. yoga, walking group)
Arts and crafts or creative workshops
A neighbourhood social event or seasonal celebration
Funding can be used for both specific projects and ongoing operational costs. All successful applications must demonstrate a clear benefit to The Green Quarter’s residents. When applying, residents should outline the amount of funding requested and how it will be used.
