Community Chest

The Green Quarter Community Chest supports community organisations, social enterprises and charities that deliver activities benefiting the Southall and Hayes community. Through local grants, this initiative funds projects that make a real difference in the areas of skills, training and employment, culture and heritage, health and wellbeing, and sustainability and the environment.

How does it work?

Each year we can fund organisations or projects with a total funding amount available of £25,000.

Organisations and projects interested in funding can apply for full or part funding (if you have match funding available you will be considered favourably), and grants can support specific projects or day-to-day running. Entrants are asked to outline the funding you are seeking and why, the services you provide and what the money will be used for. Applications will be considered during two formal funding rounds over 2025/26.

Our independent Community Engagement Steering Group (CESG) helps The Green Quarter team decide which projects will be funded. The CESG is made up of local residents, community groups, businesses, and other key stakeholders from the community.

The first round of applications for 2025 is now closed, and successful applicants have been contacted. Thank you to everyone who applied and shared their ideas for improving our community. The second round will be considered in Spring 2026. Further information about the next round of funding will be shared later. However, applications in relation to a special or timely project may be considered outside of our allocated windows. If you would like to discuss a potential project, please contact us at info@thegreenquartercommunity.co.uk.
