This month, we were proud hosts on the Borough of Ealing BEAT Art Trail, a celebration of creativity across our neighbourhood. Running over two weekends, we had some fantastic artists joining us to exhibit their work:
- Anupama SIyer is a visual artist and designer. She is particularly passionate about art and craft traditions, and draws inspiration from her travels. She displayed some fantastic ceramics, paintings, illustrations and prints.
- Gordon Cookson exhibits and sells beautiful items of wood which are decorative and functional. He uses mainly from UK hard woods or recycled builders’ off-cuts, and also up-cycles wooden pieces with proceeds of these pieces going to Nerve Tumours UK.
- Jalpa Patel exhibited in BEAT for the first time and had some amazing, vibrant paintings to share.
- Kuljit’s mandala art is inspired by the fractals in nature and the colours of India. Her pieces inspire a sense of calm and serenity.
- Manoela Grigorova specialises in jewellery and hand embroidered pieces. Her tactile, nature inspired works evoke joy and curiosity.
- Sonali Bhattacharya brought together painting, storytelling and ideas drawn from ancient art, mythology and different cultural traditions.
- Will Higgins uses wood, resin and high voltage to make unique and beautiful pieces that are often functional as well. Since he last exhibited at Parkside Yards, Will has developed his range to include wall art alongside his benches and mirrors.
Over 600 people attended the event, including special guests such as the mayor and local councillors. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success!
