The Green Quarter’s Street Elite Festival is one of the highlights of our annual calendar, and this year was particularly special and inspiring.

Street Elite is delivered by Berkeley in partnership with The Change Foundation, providing coaching and mentoring for young people on the edge of gangs and crime. The year-long programme supports participants into secure employment, education and training opportunities.

Our event in June marked a record-breaking number of graduates from the programme. The young people were presented with their certificates, and guests included the Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Faduma Mohamed.

Southall FC hosted an exciting crossbar challenge during the celebrations, while Game4Padel delivered engaging padel sessions to attendees.

Berkeley has been supporting Street Elite since 2013 across a number of its developments. Over 100 young people take part each year, and on average over 80% of them transition into work or education. The majority of the coaches who deliver Street Elite have come through the programme themselves, making them ideal role models and mentors for the young people involved.
