Inderpall Bhamra is the founder and owner of IKB Eventworks. In our latest blog, she explains why Southall is such an exciting place to live, work and visit.
Can you briefly tell us the story behind your business?
IKB Eventworks was created from a passion for bringing people together and creating meaningful connections through events. With a background in mathematics, statistics, and management, I wanted to combine analytical thinking with creativity to deliver impactful experiences. What started as a small idea has grown into a platform that supports businesses, entrepreneurs, and communities through engaging networking and cultural events.
Why did you choose Southall?
Southall is vibrant, diverse, and full of entrepreneurial energy. It’s a place where culture and community naturally come together, making it the perfect environment for events that celebrate connection, collaboration, and growth. Being based here allows us to work closely with local businesses and truly understand the needs of the community.
What do you offer, and what’s your most popular product or service?
We specialise in business networking events, community festivals, and corporate wellness sessions. Our most popular offering is our curated networking events, where local businesses can connect, collaborate, and grow in a relaxed and supportive environment.
What makes your business unique?
We focus on creating experiences, not just events. Every event is designed to be purposeful—whether that’s fostering genuine business connections, supporting wellbeing, or celebrating culture. Our approach blends creativity with strategy, ensuring each event delivers real value for attendees.
How do you connect with or support the Southall community?
We actively collaborate with local businesses, organisations, and community groups to create inclusive events that reflect Southall’s diversity. From cultural festivals to business networking sessions, our goal is to provide platforms where people can connect, share, and thrive together.
What’s new or coming up that people should know about?
We’re continuing to expand our calendar with more community-led events, including business networking sessions and larger cultural initiatives like the Southall Cultural Fest. We’re also growing our corporate wellness programmes to support local organisations and their teams.
What are your hopes for your business and Southall’s future?
We hope to see Southall continue to grow as a hub for business, culture, and innovation. For IKB Eventworks, the vision is to become a key connector within the community—supporting businesses, creating opportunities, and delivering events that make a lasting impact.
What do you love most about being based in Southall?
The sense of community. Southall has a unique energy where people genuinely support each other. There’s always something happening, and being part of that growth and vibrancy is incredibly rewarding.
